Skin Cancer Awareness Roadshow
The Skin Cancer Awareness Roadshow will be heading to Sunny Sands, Folkestone on Wednesday 17th August between 10am and 3pm.
Make your way there to find out how you can stay safe in the sun, what you should be looking out for, and when you should contact your GP.
There will be fun activities for children and free sun cream samples.

Children and Young People Colouring and Poster Competition
The NHS Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance is holding a competition this summer. Our campaign is about being safe in the sun and preventing harm to your skin to prevent skin cancer in the future.
We are inviting any children and young people 18 years and under to take part in the competition who live in Kent and Medway.
The Competition
11 years and under – colouring competition (under 5 / 5-8 / 9-11 yrs)
Download the colouring picture from Kent Children's University
Enjoy colouring in the picture of children on the beach. Please add hats, sunglasses and t-shirts to the characters to keep the children safe in the sun.
12 years to 18 years old – poster design competition (12-14 / 15-18 yrs)
Design a poster about skin cancer prevention and safety in the sun. Use the NHS website to help you.
Prizes
There will be a winner and a runner up in each category. Each winner will win a £10 book voucher and each runner up will win a £5 book voucher.
Please send your completed entries to Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance (either as a photo or scanned image is fine) by Monday 29th August 2022.
